If you are thinking of booking this hotel for your wedding and reading the testimonials for some reassurance take my advice and book it, you won’t regret it!
I visited the Morrison for Afternoon Tea with a friend and ended up booking a wedding a week later. After being engaged for 3 years, my partner and I weren’t yet thinking of wedding plans but we fell in love with it instantly.
We literally didn’t view one hotel after it & went with it. Marion was my Co Ordinator and she went above & above to help me, she was always so efficient replying to my emails/queries. Always accommodating when we wanted to view the room. Nothing was ever any trouble!
The rooms are just perfect, the reception room, courtyard and printworks.
Everything on the day went so smoothly nothing went wrong & that was down to the amazing staff at the Morrison. From the concierge staff to the bar staff to the waiters I just couldn’t get over the service our wedding party was given. Everyone noticed it and commented on it and its such a big wow factor. It’s all the little things they did for us that make such a difference.
Jane the Hotel Manager was on the weekend of our wedding and she was always around to check we were all okay & if we needed anything. I called her our Morrison Mammy. My Mother in law was very hungover the next day and missed breakfast and Jane sat her down and ran to get her a sandwich and a cup of tea she was so thankful.
Special thanks to Gavin, Kirsty & Sarah who also went above and beyond for us. The Directors of the hotel should be very proud of all the staff that work here. It feels as if every single person that works here knows to look after the needs of the customers and going the extra mile for everyone is something they live by.
If you want an elegant Dublin City Centre wedding without the extortionist prices this is the hotel for you! We had the best weekend of our lives at the Morrison and didn’t want to ever leave.

We decided on the Morrison as our wedding venue about 7 months out. I had never been to the hotel before but absolutely loved the set up from the start. There were so many different spaces within the hotel, each with its own character and feel. Marion was our point of contact and she was fantastic, answering any questions and helping us get the little details ironed out. On the day the reception area looked sweet and all our guests were really well looked after. Plenty of drinks and canapés kicked the celebrations in style. The Printworks room was really slick and the staff were great and made sure everything went smoothly which meant myself and Zoë could relax and really enjoy ourselves. The food was top notch, particularly the steak. The wedding suite was very impressive and the whole wedding experience at the Morrison Hotel was so professional and so much fun.

Jonny and I got married in The Morrison in October 2017. We knew from the get go we wanted something quite simple and minimal. The Morrison is a blank canvas that you can stamp your own personality onto. We loved the contemporary and quirky artworks and decor. Every single guest made a point of saying the food and wine was delicious. They also all commented on the staff, how warm and welcoming they all were and how attentive and accommodating they had been. The day passed so quickly for us it so it was great to hear such good feedback as you don't get to pay attention at the time! When we booked the hotel Marion and Kirsty made such an impression on us I think we booked it straight away! They were so down to earth. They really helped with suggestions and ideas as they are experts at this... and it shows! They answered every single email and their attention to detail gave me and my OCD notions a run for our money! We stayed in the Penthouse and we would highly recommend it! It's definitely worth it. We couldn't recommend The Morrison highly enough and wish we could do it all again!

Everything went perfectly - we can't thank you and the staff enough for ensuring that the day went so well. The rest of the guests arrived before us and everyone was already raving about the venue.   Being able to have the canopy open to the courtyard open was a real bonus (as the weather forecast was terrible) and even Colin and I were amazed at the sheer amount of space we had for the drinks reception.   The walk around we had when everything was closed up hadn't done it justice at all. From the very start Jason and Gavin had everything under control and service was excellent.    We loved how the main room looked and Jane and her team were flawless during the meal service.  It was efficient without being too intrusive.  Everyone (including us) loved the food - a lot of people commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever had.   The excellent service continued all through the night and everyone had a fantastic time.   One story of the night I particularly like is that a friend of ours managed to get a heel stuck in a grate and before she could even try to sort it out someone appeared, undid her shoe, took it out and put in back on.   That sums up the service everyone felt they got!
 
As for the staff during the rest of our stay, again, they were excellent.   It was nice that everyone seemed to know who we were, who our parents were, and went out of their way for us.   Thanks again for the penthouse upgrade, for the photograph in the engraved frame etc. - all of these touches were really appreciated.

Having been engaged for a number of years, but wanting to wait until we could get legally married, we knew what we wanted from a venue- something modern but with a vintage feel, something central in Dublin City, but not somewhere that felt too much like a "traditional" hotel. In addition, we needed an "all-in-one venue", with easy accessibility for people with disabilities. 

We looked at a number of venues, but nothing felt quite "right". A friend, who was getting married in The Morrison, recommended that we pop in for a look. From our first contact by email, we were very impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the whole team. Nothing was too much trouble, there was no such thing as too many questions or too silly a question. Every time we needed to drop by for whatever reason we were greeted by smiles and cookies- always good! 

When it came to the day itself, we were blown away with how easy everyone made it. The staff- especially the amazing Jane- seemed to anticipate our every need and desire before we even knew it! The food was simply incredible, and the adjustments made for our guests were perfect. The food and drinks are still being talked about by our friends and family, over 2 months later!! The whole gang knew exactly what they were doing, and if there were any problems, we certainly didn't know about them, as they were obviously ironed out without any issues, with everyone working really well with all our suppliers and our wedding stylist team. 

They were even accommodating and downright enthusiastic about there being some surprise performances from our friends- that we didn't know about either!!

As we stayed there for a few days after the wedding itself, we were treated phenomenally until we checked out to head off on honeymoon. In short, we couldn't have picked a better venue. It felt 100% like the whole staff cared about our day, and wanted to make sure we, and all our guests, were happy and had a great day. Which we certainly did!

Food and wine quality was of particular importance to us and did not disappoint with excellent choices, including for vegetarians and those with allergies. The chefs are also open to suggestion and adapting any of the options presented during the tasting. The standard and generous servings of the food was also widely commented on by our guests. 
 
The Morrison is a contemporary and funky venue in the heart of Dublin City which in itself is an attractive option. Coupled with the highly professional and warm service of a team expert at what they do, it makes for the perfect wedding location.

Myself and my husband, Darren, had our wedding reception at your hotel on 24th September this year. Unfortunately, we didn't have the pleasure of meeting you while we were there, but we would like to extend to you the huge appreciation and gratitude we have for the exceptional service that we received from all of your team in the leadup to the wedding and over that weekend of the wedding.

When deciding on where to have our reception, we were really against going with a hotel. In our heads we expected that it would be impersonal, generic and just everyday routine for the hotel without them really caring. After finding it difficult to find an anavailable alternative, we decided to check out The Morrison, the first, and only hotel we looked at. On our first visit, we were shown around by Sally and were instantly happy with what we saw and the hospitality and enthusiasm that we received from Sally. And now that it is all over, we have realised it was the best decision we could have made!

Right from the beginning, Sally was incredible, always positive, always approachable, always accommodating, nothing was ever too much hassle. She was always open to our ideas of trying to do things differently, and she helped to make them happen. She always made herself available for us if we wanted to drop in. We really can't give her enough praise! She is a true credit to your team.

Then there was the team on the day, Jane, Sarah, Patrick, Gavin and (I hope I get her name correct)Christine. From our perspective, the day went without a single glitch. It was handled with such professionalism, attention to detail and most importantly, care for them all. They made every effort to set up the room exactly how we wanted it, which was a bit different to your usual wedding! On top of that, Jane was brilliant for the whole day of the wedding and the morning after. She was an absolute pleasure, always on hand and always in control. And not only was she there for us, but she was there for all our family and guests. Our immediate family had nothing but praise for her, she went above and beyond to make their and our stay in the hotel as best as she could.

And then there's the rest of the team who we have to mention for their welcoming hospitality and personal service. Piotr the concierge made us feel like constant VIPs (a strange feeling for us!!). Marie on reception went to huge lengths to sort out a small issue with our room on the night before the wedding. Lewis in the restaurant made our menu tasting a memorable event in itself, and showed us around again with great enthusiasm and passion! Mark in the bar remembered and welcomed us on every visit in the lead up to the wedding, and then on the night stayed in the residents bar until all hours and still managed to be as friendly as ever! Sushil the chef came out and met us during the tasting, he accommodated all our requests without hesitation and his food on the night was amazing. And finally a mention the great service provided by the bar and serving staff both during our menu tasting and on the night of the wedding.

On top of all that, to be given the penthouse suite was the cherry on the cake! It added a whole new perspective to our day, allowing us to share a glass of champagne with our families before the ceremony, which meant a huge amount to us.

We had such an incredible weekend, and a lot of the credit has to be given to the hotel, it's exceptional staff and their outstanding service and hospitality. So for that we wanted to send on our huge thanks and hope that the staff can be given the recognition they deserve for their hard work.

We had our wedding reception at The Morrison Hotel, with block room bookings for our guests, and had a truly first-rate experience. We honestly could not have been happier and would give The Morrison more than the maximum number of stars if that was possible for a beautiful distinctive venue and, most of all, absolutely outstanding service. 
We planned our wedding remotely from the UK, which was a challenge, and Marion, who helped coordinate all of our planning, was exceptional! We knew we could trust her completely, which was necessary in our situation, as we weren't there in person to micromanage. Marion was always prompt and warm in her response and truly went the extra mile, offering solutions to any minor planning snags along the way and anticipating our needs, doing everything in her power to accommodate us. She helped us find good vendors (florist, DJ), who she even liaised/negotiated with on our behalf in the case of the DJ, and kept us on track (she has much more wedding planning experience than we did) with our decision making, always providing helpful advice. The hotel staff were all friendly and excellent. From our numerous visits to the hotel throughout the wedding planning process (mostly in day trips to Dublin), it was obvious to us how well managed the hotel is. The operations staff were brilliant on our special day. The food was amazing, and they were extremely flexible in accommodating special dietary requests in a way that was completely no fuss for us. 
The Morrison is a fabulous place to have a wedding. Thanks to the staff, who are extremely on the ball, everything went without a hitch, and our guests (even the toughest critics) were all very impressed with our seamless planning (largely because we could rely on excellent staff). The special gestures (e.g., framed photo of bride & groom at our wedding reception greeting us at the end of the night) came as a surprise and were appreciated, making the experience all the more memorable. We really couldn't recommend the Morrison or praise the team of staff who took care of us and our guests more strongly.

Where to start. Myself and my partner had our wedding here a few weeks ago and it was beyond AMAZING. To start the hotel itself is lovely well laid out and is a great location for a City Center wedding. The staff where some of the best I have seen in the business. I want to particularly say thanks to Ross, Patrick and Lewis for making sure everything ran like clockwork and did everything possible to accommodate our requests and looked after every little detail. People raved about the food both the Dinner and evening finger food as it was certainly not your typical wedding type food and many people told us they would have never thought of going to The Morrison for lunch or Drinks but now they certainly would in the future. On behalf of myself and my Husband thank you so so much for making our day one of the happiest of our lives.

Being from Dublin, we really wanted to get married in the city. We saw some venues, but felt they were very fussy or too formal and just not us. The moment we saw the Morrison we knew it was perfect. From that initial meeting, right up to the wedding over a year later, the team at the Morrison were beyond helpful. They made everything seem easy and relaxed, whilst also carrying out all of our wishes perfectly, and being incredibly professional at all times. The eve of the wedding, James and his team did a complete run through with us, making sure both we and our families were happy. Martin even did a run through of my dads speech with him, so he was familiar with using the microphone and the layout of the room, and could relax without a fear of the unknown! On the day of the wedding, the staff were attentive to us and also to our families at all times, this was really important, we wouldn't have enjoyed ourselves if our families didn't. The function rooms and courtyard are lovely and bright and can be themed to suit you and your guests in any way. The food was outstanding, and the tasting evening was really special. All in all, we couldn't have been happier with The Morrison and would recommend it as a wedding venue to anyone.

This hotel is one of the best I've been to in the world (if not the best). I have been going here for years for the odd drink, lunch, etc. and I finally stayed two nights here recently and it was out of this world. I held my wedding reception here and had a BBQ and buffet. Staff were completely amazing on the day. They couldn't do enough for us and our guests. From the planning phase to the actual day of the wedding, staff were always on hand to help. Our guests are still talking about the hotel and how wonderful the staff were. Our room was beautiful and I saw two other rooms where my family were staying and they were beautiful too. The hotel is always spotless and decorated very tastefully with a kind of funky modern twist. The food has always been lovely anytime I've eaten here and for our wedding BBQ there was a huge choice and staff went above and beyond our expectations and even cooked some African food as half our guests were African. If you're thinking about having a wedding reception or any kind of function here, then go for it. The prices are very competitive and the location is brilliant as it's on the Luas line and right in the city centre. We had some wedding photos taken on Millennium Bridge just opposite the hotel. If I ever become a millionaire I think I'd like to move into this hotel permanently! I will continue visiting the bar in this hotel and intend to stay some night again in the future.
