Biodiversity

Every choice we make has an impact on our surroundings ,environment and biodiversity-the variety of life on Earth.

Biodiversity plays important part in our life and we keep this in mind through the daily management of the hotel operations. We have made conscious choices to protect our native biodiversity by  choosing local produce ,avoiding harsh chemicals and single use plastic.

We support local habitat by adopting native bee hives and even installing bird houses on the rooftop of the hotel.

The Morrison Hotel is sponsoring 2 beehives of native Irish Honeybees which are located in South Dublin. Our bee keeper uses an organic management processes for the welfare of the colonies and to produce the most exquisite honey which we then use in our kitchens.

Through our Love The Earth initiative, The Morrison is actively working to become more sustainable. And we are involved with the Green Tourism certification programme to promote a greener, cleaner environment, for people, places and our planet.

The internationally respected accreditation programme of Bronze, Silver and Gold awards are acknowledged worldwide as an indicator of good environmentally-friendly practice and are a great way of progressing on a green journey as well as acting as a hallmark of ‘green quality’ for our eco-minded visitors.

Clean the World

The Morrison Dublin, is working with social enterprise, Clean the World, with the mission of saving millions of lives around the world. With hotels generating large volumes of solid waste, we collect discarded soap and bottled amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, location and body wash. All soap is recycled into new bars and all bottles are now either recycled or converted to energy. Through the distribution of these and other donated hygiene products to impoverished people, we are helping Clean The World help prevent millions of hygiene related illnesses and deaths each year.
